Resource Manager – 12 Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Resource Manager to support a major government‑related programme. The role is a 12‑month contract, paid at £63 per hour on an umbrella arrangement, and offers hybrid working with two days on site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day resource management across multiple projects and programmes.
• Assess current and future resource needs and drive workforce planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and develop solutions.
• Assist recruitment, resourcing and talent development activities.
• Develop and maintain professional development frameworks, career pathways and learning initiatives.
• Work with industry partners and professional bodies to promote best practice.
• Maintain and update SharePoint sites and related management information.
• Support continuous improvement across the wider P3M function.

Required profile

• Security Check (SC) clearance is essential.
• Proven experience in resource management and workforce planning.
• Strong understanding of recruitment, talent acquisition or resource allocation processes.
• Experience in project, programme or portfolio (P3M) environments.
• Ability to engage multiple stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Experience analysing resource requirements and supporting organisational change.
• Excellent organisational, communication and planning abilities.
