Restructuring & Insolvency Solicitor (NQ – 2 Years PQE)

About the role

Our client, a nationally recognised Legal 100 firm, is seeking a newly qualified solicitor (up to 2 years PQE) to join its Restructuring & Insolvency team in Reading. The role provides exposure to complex restructuring and insolvency matters and the opportunity to work alongside experienced partners.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate restructuring and business recovery.
• Manage corporate and personal insolvency matters, including administrations, liquidations, receiverships and bankruptcies.
• Provide advice to insolvency practitioners throughout formal insolvency processes.
• Represent lenders, directors, creditors and distressed businesses.
• Handle contentious insolvency matters such as recovery actions, antecedent transaction claims and director‑related claims.
• Conduct security enforcement and asset recovery.
• Support senior lawyers on high‑value, cross‑disciplinary transactions.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with up to 2 years PQE.
• Experience in restructuring and insolvency gained during a training contract or post‑qualification.
• Strong technical ability and commercial awareness.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, organised and collaborative approach.
