Restructuring Manager

About the role

A leading UK advisory firm is seeking a Restructuring Manager to join its Restructuring, Pensions and Debt Advisory team in London. The team handles complex restructuring and insolvency assignments across multiple sectors, including high‑profile UK and international matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of restructuring and insolvency assignments with minimal partner involvement.
• Support partners and directors in pitches, origination, and business development initiatives.
• Lead and deliver complex projects such as independent business reviews, cash‑flow analyses, contingency planning, accelerated sales processes, and pre‑pack administrations.
• Act as the primary contact for multiple client relationships and identify opportunities for new work.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for lenders and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee risk, compliance, budgets, and billing to ensure high‑quality, profitable delivery.
• Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members.
• Lead teams through complex and sensitive situations in a fast‑paced transaction environment.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience managing restructuring and insolvency projects, including business reviews, cash‑flow analysis, contingency planning, and formal insolvency appointments.
• Experience leading small teams and taking responsibility for delivery, reporting, and client outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including direct interaction with senior leadership.
• Commercial mindset with interest in business development and market engagement.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with practical, client‑focused solutions.
• CPI and/or JIEB desirable but not essential.
