Retail Assistant – Part‑Time Evenings & Weekends

About the role

Farmfoods is seeking a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to work evenings and weekends at its Gorseinon store in Swansea. This permanent part‑time role offers a minimum of eight hours across two days each week, with shifts covering weekday evenings and full days on Saturdays and Sundays.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm welcome and assist them in locating products.
• Operate tills efficiently, handling transactions and offering help with packing.
• Receive deliveries, stock freezers and shelves, and maintain product rotation.
• Keep the shop clean, tidy and safe by following daily and weekly routines.
• Collaborate with a small team to ensure smooth store operations.

Required profile

• Positive, hard‑working attitude and enjoyment of a busy environment.
• Reliability and punctuality – the team depends on you to cover shifts.
• Flexibility to adapt to shift changes when covering for colleagues.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Required skills

• Basic cash‑handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
• Customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to lift and move stock safely.
