About the role

We are looking for a motivated Retail Assistant to join our client’s store in Edinburgh city centre on a temporary basis. The role starts as soon as possible and runs until the end of September 2026, offering a dynamic environment within a vibrant cultural area.

Key responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to all visitors.
Process card and cash payments accurately.
Upsell products and promote sales initiatives.
Handle deliveries and stock replenishment.
Answer telephone enquiries and assist visitors.
Create attractive merchandise displays.
Perform any additional tasks as required by the store manager.

Required profile

Previous experience working in a retail environment.
Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude.
Ability to work flexible hours from Sunday to Wednesday.

What we offer

Hourly rate of £14.27.
Fixed‑term contract until September 2026.
Work in a busy city‑centre location.
