Retail Floor Planner – Store Layout Design

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Retail Floor Planner to join our head office in Plymouth. You will create accurate, commercially‑effective store layout plans that support new openings, refits and seasonal changes. The role combines design expertise with close collaboration across buying and merchandising teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed store layout plans using AutoCAD for new stores, refits and seasonal floor changes.
• Work with buyers and analysts to ensure layouts align with trading priorities, range plans and merchandising strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records, version control and audit documentation for all layout plans.
• Update and amend layout plans in response to business requirements or performance insights.
• Manage workload to deliver layouts on time and to a consistently high standard.

Required profile

• Experience in a commercial or retail environment with strong attention to detail.
• Creative, self‑motivated and proactive, able to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Flexible, adaptable and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
