Retail Stock Controller

About the role

ITS is expanding its retail store network and needs a Retail Stock Controller to act as the central point of control for stock and inventory performance across all stores. You will ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time, supporting sales growth and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales and stock data to optimise store stock profiles and ranges.
• Develop and manage processes for product selection, range changes and seasonal adjustments.
• Adjust stock holdings to support promotions, new product launches and campaigns.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations for promotional and prime selling space.
• Collaborate with store managers, buying, commercial and marketing teams to align stock strategy.
• Monitor slow‑moving, excess and discontinued stock and propose sell‑through actions.
• Develop reporting, KPIs and performance metrics for the retail network.
• Continuously review and improve stock processes, systems and controls.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability with experience using sales and stock data.
• Confident communicator able to work cross‑functionally.
• Experience in retail, stock, merchandising or trading environments.
• Highly organised, proactive and solutions‑focused.
• Thrives in a fast‑moving, fast‑paced environment.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Resident within easy reach of Harlow, Essex.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (forecasting, analysis, reporting).
