Retail Supervisor – Bicester Store

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Retail Supervisor to join the Barbour team at our Bicester store. This full‑time, permanent role supports the Store Manager in delivering a customer‑focused environment while driving sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and ensure staff meet performance standards.
• Manage staff performance, address issues, and provide coaching and training as needed.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues that exceed frontline authority.
• Delegate tasks, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure high standards of visual merchandising.
• Motivate the team, foster teamwork, and maintain high morale.
• Communicate effectively with senior management and keep confidential matters secure.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail, preferably in a fast‑paced, high‑turnover setting.
• Strong, authoritative leadership style with the ability to lead by example.
• Comfortable dealing with customer disputes and confronting challenging situations.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexible availability for varying working hours.
