Retail Supervisor – Full‑Time (Darlington)

About the role

Farmfoods is seeking a Retail Supervisor for its Darlington store. This permanent, full‑time position works 39 hours across five days, offering a flexible schedule that may include weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Support the store manager in leading the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Take full charge of the shop in the manager’s absence, including opening, closing, cash handling and stock ordering.
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment by completing daily shop routines.
• Control operational costs, monitor shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Develop and coach retail assistants to build a strong team.

Required profile

• Friendly, positive and hard‑working attitude.
• People‑oriented with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Willingness to be fully flexible with availability, including weekends.
• Some supervisory or team‑lead experience in retail or a similar sector is advantageous.
