Retail Supervisor – Part‑time (Ayr, Scotland)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Retail Supervisor for our Farmfoods store in Ayr, South Ayrshire. The role involves supporting the store manager, leading a small team and ensuring a smooth, customer‑focused operation across a minimum of 24 hours each week.

Key responsibilities

• Support the manager in leading the team and delivering excellent customer service.
• Run the shop in the manager’s absence – opening, closing, handling cash and processing deliveries.
• Place orders, manage stock, and maintain a clean, safe and tidy shop environment.
• Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Develop and coach retail assistants to improve performance.

Required profile

• Friendly, positive and hard‑working attitude.
• People‑person who builds strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, able to work independently within a small team.
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS or Disclosure Scotland check.
