Retail Supervisor – Store Operations Lead

About the role

As a Retail Supervisor at Specsavers in Truro you will work closely with the Store Director to drive store performance, ensure high technical standards and deliver outstanding customer service. You will lead a team of opticians and sales staff, using key performance indicators to boost sales, control costs and create a welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and motivate store staff to meet and exceed sales and service targets.
• Monitor and analyse KPI data to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
• Maintain high technical and visual standards across the store, ensuring compliance with optical best practices.
• Assist the Store Director in day‑to‑day operational decisions, including stock control and staff scheduling.
• Foster a positive, customer‑focused culture that encourages repeat business.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in an optics or audiology retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong understanding of optical and audiology terminology.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
