Retired Primary Teacher – Flexible Part‑Time Teaching

About the role

We are seeking retired primary school teachers who wish to return to the classroom on a flexible, part‑time basis. The role allows you to share your experience with young learners across schools in Kent and Medway, starting in April. You will work directly with pupils, delivering the national curriculum while schools benefit from your expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons to primary‑age students.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff to support curriculum delivery.
• Adapt lessons to suit varied learning abilities.

Required profile

• Former primary school teacher, now retired.
• Passionate about teaching and mentoring children.
• Available to work flexible hours, from one day a week upwards.
• Willing to start in April and commit to short‑term assignments.
• Enjoy a low‑stress environment without the pressures of full‑time employment.
