RISE Work Experience Programme – 2‑Year Development for Students

About the role

The RISE programme is a two‑year development initiative by Norton Rose Fulbright for Year 12 students from under‑represented backgrounds. It combines work‑experience weeks, mentoring, training and networking to build legal knowledge and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Attend an in‑person work‑experience week in October at the London or Newcastle office.
• Complete work shadowing with fee‑earning and business‑services teams and an insight day with clients.
• Participate in a mock assessment centre and specialist training sessions delivered by internal teams.
• Engage in a mentoring programme with trainees and clients to develop commercial acumen.

Required profile

• Ambitious, positive attitude and eager to learn.
• Currently studying in Year 12 (or equivalent) at a state school.
• Minimum average grade of six in top eight subjects, including English and Maths.
• Willing to actively participate in programme activities and committed to personal development.
