Risk Analyst – Market Risk (Hybrid, Redhill)

About the role

We are seeking a Risk Analyst to join Santander Consumer Finance UK’s Risk department in Redhill. Reporting to the Risk Stress Testing Manager, you will support Market Risk monitoring, analysis and reporting as part of the second‑line Risk Control function.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse Market Risk exposures, including interest‑rate, structural balance‑sheet and liquidity risk.
• Produce and maintain regular Market Risk reports, dashboards and management information.
• Support stress‑testing, scenario and sensitivity analysis and assist with Asset‑Liability Management (ALM) and IRRBB.
• Monitor Risk Appetite limits, investigate material movements and escalations, and contribute to model risk activities.
• Develop and enhance analytical tools using Excel, Power BI and other data‑analysis platforms.

Required profile

• Degree in a numerate or analytical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical thinking with attention to data quality.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to varied audiences.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and learning across risk disciplines.
