Risk and Stock Loss Manager

About the role

Our client, a family‑run retailer with stores across the UK and a fast‑growing online and international presence, is seeking a Risk and Stock Loss Manager to lead stock control, cash compliance and risk management. The role is hybrid, based three days a week at the Amersham head office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the stock control strategy across all sites, driving accuracy and efficiency.
• Plan and execute stock audits, counts and stocktakes, ensuring robust processes.
• Analyse stock data and KPIs to spot shrinkage trends and translate insights into action.
• Take responsibility for cash management policy and compliance, reviewing and reconciling cash reports.
• Develop and lead the store risk management framework covering loss prevention, fraud, security and compliance.
• Serve as senior point of contact for store and area managers on stock, cash and risk matters.
• Create and maintain MI and performance dashboards for clear visibility of stock, cash and risk performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in stock control, loss prevention or retail risk management within a multi‑site environment.
• Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing a team.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting complex data and recommending actions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
