Risk Assurance & Advisory Graduate Assistant

About the role

Join Menzies LLP’s Risk Assurance and Advisory team as a Graduate Assistant, supporting not‑for‑profit and public sector clients in evaluating and improving their risk management, governance and internal processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assurance and consulting services to enhance governance, risk management and control processes.
• Evaluate how risks are managed and assess the effectiveness of internal procedures for clients.
• Work across client performance areas, including board‑level governance, strategic planning, HR, health and safety, and front‑line operations.
• Collaborate with corporate auditors to complement financial control and statement work.

Required profile

• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to take on new challenges.
• Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
• At least two A‑levels (A‑C) plus one additional A‑level or equivalent.
• Five GCSEs (A*‑C) including Maths and English Language.
• Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and ability to absorb new information quickly.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain financial information accessibly.
