Risk Automation Lead – AI & Process Automation

About the role

Man Group is seeking a Risk Automation Lead to drive AI‑enabled automation across its AHL Investment Risk and Portfolio Risk teams. You will combine deep risk knowledge with hands‑on coding to build tools that make risk monitoring faster, more scalable, and more insightful.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated risk‑management workflows and platforms.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI and machine‑learning techniques where they add genuine value.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Research, Trading and Technology to ensure robust implementation of risk limits.
• Lead the integration of risk infrastructure across both AHL Investment Risk and Portfolio Risk teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• Strong quantitative background with solid understanding of market, liquidity and counter‑party risk.
• Proven experience leading AI and process‑automation initiatives in a financial services environment.
• Hands‑on coding ability and a passion for building scalable, data‑driven solutions.
