Risk & Control Officer

About the role

Join Pleo’s Risk & Control team as a Risk & Control Officer, operating within the Second Line of Defence to strengthen the company’s risk management framework. You will partner with product, operations, finance and compliance teams to embed pragmatic controls as the business scales rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Support risk framework execution and maintain the 2LOD risk management framework.
• Conduct RCSAs and control reviews, assessing risk identification and control design.
• Perform scenario analysis and stress‑testing across operational, technology, product and credit risk domains.
• Provide risk advisory to business teams and prepare data‑driven risk reports for senior management.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a regulated financial‑services environment such as FinTech, banking or payments.
• Demonstrated expertise in credit risk assessment and management.
• Experience with operational, technology and product risk evaluation.
• Hands‑on execution of ERM frameworks, control design, RCSAs and remediation tracking.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex risk concepts for diverse audiences.
