Risk Control Surveyor

About the role

IPS Group is seeking an experienced Risk Control Surveyor to support its commercial underwriting operations across the South East region. Working remotely, you will deliver high‑quality risk surveys for a diverse portfolio of manufacturing, distribution, leisure and service businesses, helping clients manage and mitigate their risk exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct commercial risk surveys in line with technical and service standards.
• Produce detailed risk reports and practical improvement recommendations.
• Support underwriting teams with technical risk assessments and guidance.
• Assist with survey audits, technical coaching and development activities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of risk management, regulatory and technical developments.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven commercial risk surveying experience across SME and mid‑market sectors.
• Strong understanding of fire, liability, business interruption, security and general property risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant qualifications such as ACII, NEBOSH or CMIRM are advantageous.
