Risk Manager – BCB Control Office

About the role

This position offers a unique chance to shape the end‑to‑end lending and working‑capital control environment for Lloyds Banking Group. As a Risk Manager within the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Control Office, you will apply your 1st Line Risk expertise to strengthen controls, enhance reporting, and support strategic business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert driving CCO initiatives across the Lending & Working Capital (LWC) portfolio.
• Collaborate with control‑specialist leaders to design, optimise, and map the end‑to‑end control environment.
• Leverage data, analytics, AI and automation tools to continuously improve risk and control reporting.
• Prepare and maintain standardised risk and control process maps and related documentation.
• Work with risk and control owners to align actions with customer, business and strategic goals.
• Assist in managing actions arising from operational risk events and breaches.
• Proactively identify issues and implement improvements to the control framework.

Required profile

• Strong background in risk management, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Experience in designing and evaluating control environments.
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
