Risk Manager – Market & Counterparty Risk

About the role

Marex Solutions is seeking an experienced Market Risk Manager to oversee counter‑party exposures and market risk across its global commodities, FX, rates, credit and digital‑asset businesses. The role will ensure robust risk management, accurate risk measurement and effective governance of complex derivative structures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage counter‑party exposures and market risk, focusing on OTC, structured and exotic derivatives across multiple asset classes.
• Evaluate derivative structures, assess embedded risks and ensure they are captured in risk systems and metrics.
• Define, review and enhance risk measurement methodologies, enforce risk limits and challenge risk‑taking against the approved risk appetite.
• Provide independent risk assessment of new products and complex structures.
• Partner with trading, structuring, model validation, finance and risk methodology teams to ensure accurate pricing, valuation and risk representation.
• Deliver clear, timely risk reporting to senior management, highlighting key drivers, trends and emerging risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including stress testing, capital requirements and market conduct standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline (CFA/FRM a plus).
• Significant market risk or trading/structuring experience within a leading financial institution, with exposure to structured and exotic derivatives.
• Deep understanding of derivative pricing models and risk sensitivities across equity, FX, rates, credit, commodities and digital assets.
