About the role

Our client, a growing logistics provider, is looking for a detail‑oriented Road Freight Operations Clerk to join their fast‑paced operations team in Colnbrook. The role involves managing road freight shipments end‑to‑end while supporting multi‑modal transport and ensuring accurate billing and customs compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end road freight shipments, including import and export movements.
• Coordinate multi‑modal transport (sea, road, air) where required.
• Prepare and submit accurate customs entries in line with current regulations.
• Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, customs authorities and internal teams.
• Provide exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or issues.
• Prepare and process invoices and billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain compliance with industry and customs regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in freight forwarding with strong road freight knowledge.
• Familiarity with multi‑modal transport operations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with billing and invoicing processes.
