About the role
Join the RAC’s Patrol division as a Roadside Technician, providing fast, reliable breakdown assistance across the Leeds area. You will start and finish each day from your home, travelling to local incidents to get members back on the road.
Key responsibilities
- Perform mechanical roadside repairs, including battery replacement, tyre changes and fault‑finding.
- Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and provide accurate solutions.
- Deliver exceptional member service while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain and equip your RAC van with tools, fuel card and uniform.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

- Competitive base salary of £36,400 plus realistic OTE up to £61,000.
