Roadside Technician – Oxford (Full‑time)

About the role

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician serving the Oxford cluster. You will work from your home base, travelling across Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot and surrounding towns to provide rapid roadside assistance to members.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, including battery jumps, tyre changes and complex fault‑finding.
• Carry out vehicle diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting on light vehicles.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and ensure members are safely back on the road.
• Start and finish each shift from home, using a company‑provided RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic kit.

Required profile

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in technical, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Customer‑focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
