Roadside Technician – Scotland

About the role
Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician, keeping drivers moving across Scotland and the wider UK. You will work from home each day, travelling in a fully‑equipped RAC van to diagnose and repair breakdowns on the road.
Key responsibilities
- Provide on‑site mechanical repairs, including battery replacement, tyre changes and complex fault finding.
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using RAC diagnostic kits and tools.
- Deliver emergency breakdown support and reassure members during incidents.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure safety standards are met.
Required profile
- Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
- Strong customer‑focused attitude.
- Full UK driving licence.

- Base salary £36,400 plus realistic OTE of £61,000, with bonuses and overtime.
