Robotic Service Engineer – UK Field Service

About the role

Rise10 Recruitment is partnering with a fast‑growing robotics and automation business to hire an experienced Robotic Service Engineer for their UK‑wide field service team. You will travel to customer sites across the UK, delivering expert support for industrial robot systems, from preventative maintenance to fault diagnosis and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on ABB, FANUC and KUKA robotic systems and associated automation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults, providing breakdown support to minimise downtime.
• Support commissioning, re‑commissioning, robot mastering, calibration, backups and system recovery after repairs or upgrades.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation, and produce accurate service reports.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and identify opportunities for system improvements and upgrades.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with industrial robots in a service, maintenance or automation engineering environment.
• Strong experience with ABB, FANUC or KUKA robotic systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
• Excellent customer‑facing communication skills.

Required skills

• Fault finding across electrical, mechanical and software‑related systems.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Robot programming and commissioning.
• Experience with PLC systems such as Siemens, Allen‑Bradley or Mitsubishi.
