Room Attendant – Moxy Halifax Downtown

About the role

The Moxy Halifax Downtown is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will play a key part in delivering a welcoming experience that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, including washing windows, walls, fixtures, and bathroom surfaces.
• Replace towels, soaps, amenities, and restock literature and supplies.
• Vacuum rooms, hallways, and public areas, handling equipment up to 25 lb and moving furniture as needed.
• Inspect and report the condition of locks, doors, windows, and room equipment such as TVs and lights.
• Maintain cleaning carts, storerooms, and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Assist the laundry department by retrieving and sorting soiled linen.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management to support overall hotel operations.

Required profile

• Friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Attention to detail when cleaning and inspecting rooms and equipment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items, use ladders or stools, and operate vacuum equipment.
• Reliability in reporting safety or maintenance issues promptly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using standard housekeeping equipment (vacuum cleaners, cleaning carts, ladders).
