Room Leader – Early Years Nursery

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Room Leader to join a well‑established, family‑focused nursery in West Norwood. You will lead a dedicated team, create inspiring learning experiences, and play a pivotal role in children’s early development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the room team to deliver high‑quality childcare.
• Design and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate learning activities.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and educational provision.
• Monitor observations, assessments and track children’s developmental progress.
• Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework and Ofsted regulations.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
• Previous experience as a Room Leader.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Positive, proactive and solution‑focused attitude.
• Commitment to a career in Early Years education.
