Room Leader – Early Years Nursery

Key responsibilities

• Support the Manager and fellow Room Leaders to maintain the highest standards of early years care and education.
• Maintain an organised, safe and stimulating room environment.
• Keep accurate records and ensure procedures are followed within the room.
• Help build and maintain the setting’s reputation as a preferred choice for children and employees.
• Model and monitor best practice in line with regulatory guidelines.
• Support and inspire a team of practitioners.
• Aid the induction of new team members, welcoming them into the Kindred family.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher.
• Previous experience of leading a team (desirable).
• Current paediatric first aid certificate (desirable).
• Safeguarding and child protection training – full training provided (desirable).
• Current food hygiene certificate (desirable).
