Royalties Analyst - Media

About the role

The Royalties Analyst will join a dynamic finance team within a leading global licensing business. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end royalty accounting and reporting across international brand licensing programmes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate collection and processing of royalty statements and sales projections from licensees.
• Calculate royalties, raise invoices and ensure they are issued on schedule.
• Verify client payments against contractual reporting requirements.
• Monitor royalty receivables and work with credit control and commercial teams to support collections.
• Respond to finance queries from internal stakeholders, clients, licensees and auditors.
• Prepare month‑end journals, including revenue and cost accruals, bad‑debt provisions and write‑offs.
• Perform account reconciliations and support monthly management reporting.
• Assist with quarterly royalty forecasting, projections and financial analysis.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support reporting efficiency enhancements.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and cover absences within the wider finance team.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented finance professional with strong analytical abilities.
• Experience in royalty accounting, licensing or a comparable commercial finance environment.
• Proven ability to interpret contractual terms and apply them to financial reporting.
• Background in accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable or finance business partnering.
• Excellent numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
