Safety Engineering Placement – A400M (12 months)

About the role

You will join the Safety & Compliance team at RAF Brize Norton, supporting the A400M Atlas airlifter. The placement involves supporting flight operations, maintaining safe aircraft and delivering armed forces projects globally.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safe ways of thinking and safety ideas within the organisation.
• Analyse safety occurrences and compliance issues to identify root causes.
• Identify and solve maintenance issues to prevent recurrence.
• Trend data to highlight improvement areas and present findings to the wider Airbus Engineering Community.
• Occasionally travel to other UK sites.

Required profile

• Undergraduate studying towards a bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent for the full placement duration.
• Must provide a CV and cover letter outlining motivation and suitability.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
• Understanding of data trending, analysis and general engineering practices.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car is beneficial.
