Sales Account Manager – Client Relationship & Business Development

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sales Account Manager to join our growing team in the Sussex countryside. The role focuses on nurturing existing client relationships in the industrial, agriculture and construction sectors while actively seeking new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of existing client accounts via phone and email.
• Build long‑term relationships through regular communication and excellent customer service.
• Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities within current accounts.
• Prospect new clients, generate leads and convert them into sales.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and follow enquiries through to completion.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using CRM systems.
• Achieve individual sales and account growth targets.

Required profile

• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Experience in account management, internal sales or business development.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
