Sales Account Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑driven Sales Account Manager to accelerate growth across our Commercial division. Working closely with Board Directors and Senior Management, you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to long‑term account development, while travelling across the UK to meet key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable revenue growth by winning new business and expanding existing accounts in sectors such as construction, builders’ merchants, agriculture, horticulture and garden retail.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and own the sales process from lead generation through negotiation and closing.
• Develop strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives and identify opportunities for new product introductions.
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular face‑to‑face visits and partnership development.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and recommend commercial actions to improve competitiveness.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, deliver sales forecasts and performance reports to the Board.

Required profile

• Proven experience in geotextiles or related sectors (construction, builders’ merchants, agriculture, horticulture, garden retail).
• Strong commercial instinct, market knowledge and the ability to work autonomously.
• Willingness to travel across the UK for client visits and industry events.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.

• Base salary £45,000‑£50,000 per year plus performance‑related bonus.
