Sales Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales Administrator to join a growing engineering and manufacturing organisation in Winchester. The role supports an expanding commercial division, ensuring orders are processed accurately and customers receive timely updates.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders, verify pricing, completeness and commercial terms.
• Issue order acknowledgements and confirmations.
• Manage supplier and customer inboxes and telephone enquiries.
• Forward sales opportunities and feedback to the sales team.
• Provide customers with order progress, delivery schedules and issue updates.
• Handle stock and spot buying, draft stock orders and coordinate stock control.
• Receive and check stock against purchase orders using Sage.
• Liaise with warehouse teams on discrepancies and coordinate deliveries and logistics.
• Support import handling, track project milestones and monitor warranty issues.
• Assist finance with invoice queries, credits and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records in Sage and document management platforms.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and administrative abilities with high attention to detail.
• Experience in sales administration, customer service or commercial support.
• Professional communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Sage or similar business systems.
