Sales Administrator

About the role

The Sales Administrator provides essential administrative and customer‑service support to the Engineering and Sales teams within a manufacturing environment. Acting as a key link between customers, sales, production and logistics, the role ensures orders are processed accurately and service levels are consistently maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately using the company’s ERP or sales system.
• Prepare sales quotations and follow up with customers as required.
• Liaise with production and planning teams to confirm lead times and delivery schedules.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer, pricing and order records.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for enquiries via phone and email, handling order queries, delivery updates and invoice discrepancies.
• Manage customer complaints and work with internal teams to achieve timely resolution.
• Support Sales and Engineering teams with account administration and coordinate with warehouse and logistics.
• Produce sales and order reports and keep accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing sales administration or customer service.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Desirable experience of ERP or CRM systems.
• Customer‑focused, proactive and detail‑oriented.
