Sales Agent – Water & Utilities (Hybrid)

About the role

Are you an experienced Sales Agent who enjoys winning new business, building relationships and closing deals? We are looking for a motivated Sales Agent to join a growing commercial sales team in Peterlee, selling water services to business customers while identifying opportunities to cross‑sell additional utility services.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and close your own new business opportunities.
• Make a high volume of outbound sales calls and handle inbound/warm leads.
• Build relationships with business customers and identify cross‑sell opportunities for water, waste and other utility services.
• Produce quotations, convert them into sales and manage your own pipeline.
• Handle objections confidently, close deals and record activity accurately on Salesforce.
• Work towards and exceed individual sales targets.

Required profile

• Experienced in sales, telesales or business development.
• Confident speaking to business owners and decision‑makers.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and working to targets.
• Motivated by commission and achieving results.
• Strong objection handling, rapport‑building and organisational skills.
• Resilient, competitive and commercially minded.
• Previous water, energy or utilities experience is desirable, but transferable sales experience will also be considered.
