Sales and Marketing Director

About the role

An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Director to lead commercial growth during a period of rapid expansion. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape strategy, secure new business and nurture senior‑level client relationships across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy that meets revenue and growth targets.
• Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation to contract signing.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline using proactive business‑development techniques.
• Produce accurate forecasts, pipeline reports and commercial updates for senior management.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations to maximise development opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to uncover new opportunities.
• Represent the business at networking events, exhibitions and client meetings.
• Support continuous improvement of sales processes, customer engagement and commercial performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, such as Sales Director or similar.
• Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and business development.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior decision‑makers.
• Excellent communication and consultative selling skills.
