Sales and Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Sales and Purchasing Coordinator to join a specialist engineering client in Westbury. The role bridges the sales and production teams, handling technical enquiries, preparing costings and quotations, and supporting the purchasing process from BOM creation to order delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and assess inbound technical enquiries from customers.
• Prepare accurate costings and quotations for engineered components.
• Manage the purchasing cycle, including raising and tracking purchase orders, monitoring supplier lead times and pricing.
• Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work orders to ensure correct material availability.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and suppliers throughout the order lifecycle.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a combined quoting/costing and purchasing role.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Confident daily user of ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Required skills

• ERP and MRP system proficiency.
• Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Data entry into ERP systems.
