Sales Assistant - Flexible hours

About the role

City Plumbing is looking for a results‑driven Sales Assistant to join its Gloucester branch on a flexible‑hours basis. You will be the front‑line contact for trade and retail customers, delivering excellent service both on the counter and over the phone while helping to maximise sales.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum margins.
• Provide first‑class service to build and maintain a loyal customer base.
• Serve customers on the trade counter, handle telesales and maintain housekeeping standards in the counter and warehouse areas.
• Assist with general branch duties, including occasional driving tasks when required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, professional and driven with a strong focus on results.
• Flexible to work a set minimum number of hours and additional hours during peak winter heating season.
• Enjoys teamwork and acts with integrity and honesty.
• Previous experience in sales or customer assistance, preferably within the plumbing/heating sector, or a strong willingness to learn.
