Sales Assistant – Flexible Hours

About the role

Join our busy branch as a Sales Assistant on a flexible‑hours basis, delivering excellent service to trade and retail customers at the trade counter and over the phone. You will work a set minimum number of hours each week and be ready to add extra shifts during peak winter heating periods.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimal margins.
• Provide first‑class service on the trade counter and via telesales, building a loyal customer base.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards on the counter and in the warehouse.
• Assist with general branch duties, including occasional driving tasks when required.

Required profile

• Enjoy working as part of a team with a strong focus on results.
• Flexible with working hours and able to adapt to peak‑season demands.
• Previous experience in sales or customer assistance, preferably with knowledge of plumbing and heating products, or a strong willingness to learn.
