Sales Assistant (Retail)

About the role

As a Sales Assistant at Topps Tiles you will join a small, friendly team in a busy retail environment. You will help customers visualise and realise their tiling projects while delivering the high‑standard service Topps Tiles is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, understand their needs and guide them to the right tile solutions.
• Provide product advice and design ideas to both retail and trade customers.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and ensure heavy boxes are safely handled.
• Process sales transactions and record personal sales commissions.
• Build lasting relationships with regular trade customers.
• Support promotional activities and keep up‑to‑date with product ranges.

Required profile

• Age 18 or over, with a positive, outgoing attitude.
• Friendly and customer‑focused with good communication skills.
• Physically able to lift and move heavy boxes of tiles.
• Willingness to work a 24‑hour week, including some weekends.
