Sales & Business Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales & Business Manager to join The Work Shop in Ferndown. You will work closely with the owner to build and lead a small sales team, driving growth in the fire‑door market serving residential care, social housing and retirement living sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and manage a small sales team.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities using existing databases and warm leads.
• Provide product advice, prepare quotations and issue invoices.
• Coordinate with sub‑contractors and handle general office administration.
• Visit sites occasionally and represent the company at trade shows.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a small sales team.
• Confident telephone manner with strong oral and written communication.
• Self‑motivated, professional attitude and a ‘can‑do’ approach.
• Ability to work independently and adopt a consultative selling style.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience using a CRM database.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £35,000‑£40,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Friday 8:30‑17:00.
