Sales & Compliance Manager – Delivery Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑driven Sales & Compliance Manager to lead business development and ensure operational compliance for our same‑day and special delivery service based at Heathrow.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK through calls, emails, networking and referrals.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and commercial proposals, negotiate rates and service agreements while protecting margins.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, monitor the sales pipeline and meet revenue and retention targets.
• Take ownership of day‑to‑day compliance processes, keeping driver and staff records up to date and ensuring licences, insurance and training are valid.
• Conduct regular compliance audits, maintain evidence for external audits and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales and business development within time‑critical delivery or logistics sectors.
• Strong understanding of UK transport, road safety and driver regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work closely with operations to align customer expectations with service delivery.

Required skills

• Experience with lead generation, quotation preparation and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of compliance documentation, driver licensing and vehicle insurance standards.

What we offer

• Base salary of £40,000 per year plus commission (1% on sales, 2% on compliance) with potential earnings up to £45,000.
• Petrol allowance.
