Sales Coordinator (Shipping & Logistics)

About the role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Sales Coordinator to manage the sales process from enquiry through to dispatch, while building strong customer relationships and supporting marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customer sales enquiries across phone, email, website and exhibitions.
• Process and manage orders, including amendments, back‑orders and dispatch updates, using internal systems.
• Prepare order confirmations, pro‑forma invoices and follow up outstanding payments.
• Maintain accurate records of customers, products, stock and orders.
• Coordinate order hand‑over to warehouse and fulfilment teams, ensuring invoicing accuracy.
• Attend trade exhibitions to promote products, generate leads and convert opportunities.
• Produce regular sales reports and support pricing, catalogue and sample management.
• Assist with marketing initiatives and keep online product information up to date.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, account management or sales administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship‑building and customer‑service orientation.
• Proactive, commercially focused and highly organised with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Confidence communicating with customers via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
