Sales Director – Engineering & Technology Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead high‑performing commercial teams within a specialist engineering and technology environment. You will own the sales strategy, drive revenue growth and shape long‑term customer relationships across complex, high‑tech markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand market share and revenue.
• Lead, coach and develop Sales Managers, Technical Field Sales and Inside Sales teams.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing existing key accounts.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and ensure effective CRM utilisation.
• Implement forecasting processes and monitor performance against targets.
• Build strategic relationships with customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
• Champion a solution‑focused, consultative sales approach.
• Monitor market trends in advanced technology sectors and act on growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Significant experience leading successful sales teams.
• Strong commercial and strategic planning capabilities.
• Proven track record selling technical or engineered solutions in electronics or related sectors.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Data‑driven approach to forecasting and performance management.
• Ability to motivate teams and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
