Sales Engineer - Aftermarket

About the role

Future Prospects is recruiting a full‑time, permanent Sales Engineer for an international manufacturing leader. The role focuses on delivering sales and technical support to distributors and MRO customers across the Midlands or Northern England.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales‑led opportunities to grow the industrial aftermarket business.
• Initiate and manage sales and engineering projects, turning major opportunities into successful aftermarket contracts.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company products, technologies and market applications.
• Provide product and application training to internal and external sales staff.
• Drive and track sales and project opportunities using the company’s processes and Salesforce CRM.
• Develop relationships with direct customers and assigned accounts in the sales region.

Required profile

• Degree level education or equivalent in a related discipline (desirable, not essential).
• Experience managing complex industrial distributor relationships.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise and develop multiple accounts.
• Ability to maintain credibility with customers when addressing sales, technical or quality issues.
• Good understanding of the UK MRO end‑user market for power transmission and rotating equipment.
