Sales Engineer – Application Specialist in Metal Cutting

Key responsibilities

• Support account teams by delivering technical product and application expertise to customers and distributors.
• Coordinate technical and commercial stakeholders to build integrated solutions and progress projects alongside Account Managers.
• Visit current and potential accounts to strengthen relationships, answer complex technical questions, and secure profitable business outcomes.
• Provide product and solution training for internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after implementation, maintaining high‑quality deployment and customer satisfaction.
• Keep sales activity information accurate within the CRM system to support consistent reporting and smooth deal progression.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in metal cutting tools with practical application knowledge, including CAD/CAM exposure where relevant.
• Experience supporting projects and delivering results, with an organised, structured approach across a complex matrix environment.
• Confident communication skills, able to make clear technical presentations and write in professional English.
• Knowledge of digital technologies in metalworking and an interest in continuous improvement, including productivity and LEAN ways of working.
• A recognised apprenticeship within the industry, at least an HNC level qualification, a valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
