Sales Engineer – EMEA

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to drive Socket’s growth across Europe. The role blends pre‑sales technical expertise with post‑sale customer‑success ownership, acting as the bridge between prospects and existing enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions, product demos and proof‑of‑concepts for European prospects, addressing objections and translating Socket’s capabilities into business value.
• Own the success and expansion of assigned enterprise accounts, create success plans, drive feature adoption, conduct QBRs and renewal discussions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams to shape scalable processes, provide market feedback and develop technical documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years in pre‑sales technical roles (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, TAM) with enterprise customers.
• 2+ years of experience in customer success, account management or post‑sale technical roles.
• Background in security, developer tools or SaaS environments and hands‑on software engineering or data‑science experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript and Go scripting.
• Experience with package managers such as npm or PyPI and JavaScript or Python ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of Git‑based source control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• RESTful API integration experience.
