Sales Engineer (Industrial Brakes)

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a mechanical or hydraulics background to join a leading manufacturer of industrial and heavy‑duty brake systems. You will combine technical expertise with client‑facing sales activities across sectors such as mining, steel, nuclear and transportation, supporting both new and existing customers throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify both cold and warm leads across target industries.
• Act as the technical point of contact for clients, understanding their braking system requirements.
• Present product solutions, prepare quotations and negotiate contracts.
• Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to after‑sale support.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with blue‑chip organisations and key accounts.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in moving into a sales‑focused role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse pipeline of opportunities.
