Sales Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer serving the aerospace sector. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry to order placement, ensuring accurate, competitive quotations and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates from customer drawings and technical data.
• Interpret engineering drawings to define manufacturing methods, cycle times, materials and associated costs.
• Manage enquiries from RFQ through contract review to order acceptance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and material suppliers.
• Create Bills of Materials and load new orders into the ERP system.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to meet customer expectations.
• Attend customer meetings to strengthen relationships and secure new business.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in CNC milling, turning or precision machining environments.
• Proven ability to produce detailed quotations and costings.
• Strong commercial awareness combined with an engineering background.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and subcontract machining.
